Fèis na Fairge - Cuairt is Òraid / Walk & Talk - "Land, Sea & Ceremony"

This walk along the coast of Dell takes in several historic sites. You'll be guided by an archaeologist who interprets perspectives of the sea from the land, Ian McHardy, and a historian who works with perceptions of the land from the sea, David Gange. The walk will consider what the ocean has meant to people in Ness (and beyond) from the Neolithic to the Early-Modern period. Why were Dùns built here? And what can the land and seascape tell us about past ways of life? 

This walk will be approximately 5km.  Please wear waterproof/weather-appropriate footwear and clothing.
